Beginning his career at Salomon Brothers in 1991, he later held senior leadership roles at Credit Suisse, Bank of America, Merrill Lynch, and J.P. Morgan before serving as Chief Information Officer at Angelo, Gordon & Co. He was widely recognized as an early pioneer in artificial intelligence and machine learning within financial services, helping shape the industry’s technological evolution.
Beyond his professional achievements, Rob was remembered for his generosity, intellect, humor, and ability to bring people together. Friends fondly recalled “Rob’s Table” at Benjamin Prime, where conversations about technology, sports, and life often turned into unforgettable gatherings. He was passionate about music, high-performance and electric vehicles, the New York Giants, and exploring new ideas, always approaching life with enthusiasm and curiosity.
Above all, Rob cherished his family. He shared a loving marriage with his wife, Patti, enjoyed weekly traditions and family gatherings, and took immense pride in his children Samantha, Alexa, and Nicholas, as well as his granddaughter Isabella. He is also survived by his mother, Juliet, four brothers, extended family members, and countless friends and colleagues.
